Visualizing the Quality of Data

Leeds Media Services recently completed work on ‘Visualizing the Quality of Data’. Working with Roy Ruddle from the University of Leeds, LMS filmed the various pieces to camera, created the graphical animations and edited all the elements together.

Data quality may be divided into two main areas – completeness and correctness. This film explains what each area involves, how we can visualize it and why it matters, using case studies from healthcare and retail.

The film was produced by the QuantiCode project (funded by EPSRC EP/N013980/1 and EP/K503836/1; supported by MRC MR/L01629X/1 and ESRC ES/L011891/1).

Additional thanks to all of the contributors, and Born in Bradford, the Wellcome Trust and the Alan Turing Institute.
